December is often a time when house-hunters start to seriously consider making a move, and 2024 was no different, with a diverse range of homes capturing the attention of buyers. Among the top ten, three properties were located in Broughty Ferry and three in Dundee, with other popular locations including Leysmill, Birkhill, Arbroath, and Invergowrie. The properties varied in size, with options ranging from three to six bedrooms, catering to a wide range of needs and preferences.
In terms of budgets, the most expensive property on the list was priced at £695,000, while the most affordable home was listed at £150,000, highlighting the broad spectrum of buyers seeking homes across Tayside.

“Looking at the bigger picture, Q4 (October to December) has been a standout period for the property market. Sales surged by an impressive 21.5% compared to Q1 (January to March), signalling growing buyer confidence. Additionally, new listings increased by 6% compared to the same period last year, showing that sellers are equally optimistic about the market.
“The diversity of properties in style, location, and budget reflects the strength and inclusivity of the market, offering incredible opportunities for everyone looking to move. It’s clear that the property market in Tayside remains resilient and dynamic, with something to offer every type of buyer.”
